Eric Prydz’s Pryda alias and label has become one of the most influential and respected names in progressive house music. Celebrating its fifteenth anniversary in 2019, Pryda is proud to present an eclectic line-up for his stage at NYC’s largest and longest running electronic music festival Electric Zoo. In addition to a special set from Eric Prydz, the Pryda Arena stage happening on Saturday, August 31 will also feature Green Velvet, Joris Voorn, Yotto, Christoph, Ben Bohmer (live), and Miss Jennifer.

Synonymous with immaculately produced and unique sounding electronic music, Prydz—a platinum selling producer— is responsible for some of the biggest progressive house tracks of the last decade, not to mention some of the most technically impressive live shows of any touring artist. Pryda is Prydz’s most well-known alias, one whose sound is replicated endlessly in dance music. Listen to the discographies of any current electronic music success and you can hear Pryda’s influence—the ‘Pryda sound,’ comprised of immaculately layered melodies and harmonies, is now almost a sub-genre unto itself. Pryda’s origins can be traced back to 2004, with the releases of “Aftermath (2005), “Muramyi” (2007) and “Pjanoo” (2008) solidifying the Pryda name within the new breed of progressive house. The 2012 release of the three-disc album Eric Prydz Presents Pryda offers a full retrospective of one dance music’s most storied discographies.

ELECTRIC ZOO: EVOLVED takes place over Labor Day Weekend August 31, September 1 & 2
at Randall’s Island Park in New York City.

This year at Electric Zoo: Evolved, Jeff Montalvo also known as Seven Lions is showcasing his new imprint Ophelia Records on Sunday, September 1 on the festival’s Riverside Stage. For his specially curated stage, he is gathering label acts such as Jason Ross and Crystal Skies and stacking them alongside with closely collaborated artists such as Kill The Noise, Dimibo, Blastoyz, Mitis, Dabin, Wooli, and Said the Sky. Together, the stage gives fans an intricate and all encompassing experience of the musical world of Seven Lions and Ophelia.

Ophelia Records originated in 2018 with the fan favorite “Calling You Home” featuring Runn. Since then, the label has put out standout tracks like Seven Lions, Wooli, & Trivecta featuring Nevve’s “Island” and Seven Lions, Slander, & Dabin featuring vocalist Dylan Matthew with “First Time”.

Throughout the labels 2nd year, the Ophelia family has grown continuously expanding their roster of talented artists with such collaborations from Jason Ross, Crystal Skies, and Last Heroes all releasing projects on the imprint. While heading into the second half of 2019, fans can anticipate a multitude of new releases from several new artists, as well as the continuation of the home for all music to be released by Seven Lions.

New for this year, Electric Zoo is proud to host the Kia Soul Station powered by SiriusXM, the first-ever human car was at E-zoo, where fans will get the chance to cool down, get fresh and shiny — dancing their way through a foam room, getting decked out in glitter and hitting the SiriusXM dance floor.
